Lakemary Center is looking to hire a motivated professional to assist students up to 21 years of age with developmental/intellectual disabilities to develop job seeking skills; includes identifying potential employment opportunities, preparing a resume, completing applications and preparing for interviews.

The paraprofessional/job coach coordinates with employers and agencies to identify job opportunities for students as needed and work with each individual to identify vocational themes and ideal conditions of potential employment and community training.

The preferred candidate has experience working with people with special needs, strong community ties and knowledge of community resources and vocational opportunities in the Paola area and surrounding communities.  Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.  Employees are required to complete a successful background check and have a valid driver's license.
